ABOUT

BOZUK PLAQUE takes familiar visuals and places them into unfamiliar cultural contexts.
Inspired by the Turkish phrase “Bozuk Plak” (“broken record”), the project recreates well-known album covers, film posters, and other cultural icons while preserving their original composition and visual language.
The image stays recognizable.
The context changes.
By replacing symbols, clothing, architecture, traditions, and everyday objects, each work becomes a playful reinterpretation of visual memory through a diasporic lens.
The series is open-ended and continues to expand across music, cinema, gaming, and popular culture.
